My Sound Journey

Over the course of the last fifteen years, I have been bringing therapeutic music sessions to many places across the UK. In these interactive concerts, I have witnessed the transformative power of music on so many occasions. I believe it was this work that nurtured my desire to enter the path of sound therapy and sound healing.

Driven by my belief in the therapeutic qualities of music and sound, I am currently undertaking Professional Diploma in Sound Arts Therapy at the British Academy of Sound Therapy. I am also student of the Integral Sound Studies and Practices with Svaram Sound Experience, organisation based in India. Svaram Center brings together the international academic musicology, sound studies and research, and innovation with the uniquely progressive spiritual-material, future-oriented aspiration of its integral experiment on Human Unity in diversity.

CASE STUDIES (Document (A4))-2

Case Studies

As part of a Professional Diploma in Group Sound Arts Therapy with The British Academy of Sound Therapy, I am calling for people to take part in my last three case study sessions.

How do these sessions run

Participants will be asked to sign a consent form before the start. After the introduction of the therapeutic sound work and aim of the session,  you will explore some beautiful instruments and have time to play, improvise, and explore the sounds.

We will also create a semi-improvised soundscape, which we will play together at the end.

In therapeutic sound work, soundscape is a semi-improvised sound composition, played on instruments typically used in therapeutic sound sessions. No musical training is needed, as the instruments can be played completely intuitively and require just an open and curious mind.

You will get to play these instruments.

Upcoming Case Studies

We will be creating a moon-inspired soundscape suitable for a community concert performance. We will also create a graphic score, which will be a completely free, artistic representation of our soundscape.

There will be an opportunity to present our collective work at a community concert on

Monday, 8th of July at 8PM at All Saints Church in Blackheath.

This is not compulsory!

The second part of the session will include making an artistic graphic score - drawing mandalas or similar abstract shapes and colours, which will create the basis for our soundscape.

Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your favourite set of pencils, pens, crayons, etc.
